HOW TO GET TO MARYHILL FROM THE CITY CENTRE:
If you are coming on public transport from outside of Glasgow then you will most likely arrive in the city centre by train at Queen Street Station. From there you can walk to Hope Street where you can get the one of the following buses to the Maryhill area.
The number 61 comes straight along Maryhill Road from the City Centre and runs on weekdays and weekends.
Stay on the bus until you are on Maryhill Road and have passed the large Tesco/Maryhill shopping centre on your left- you could ask the bus
driver to help guide you with this. The road is a fairly busy road and
has a lot going on so don't be afraid to ask the bus driver to let you
know when you get to Lochburn Road. Fares should be around £1.45 from the City Centre and buses require exact change.
DIRECTIONS FROM MARYHILL ROAD:
Directions from Queen Margaret Drive where it meets Maryhill Road (Queen Margaret joins Byres Road and Maryhill Road)
You will pass a McDonalds on your right, a large construction building on the left- a new Tesco, followed by a police station on the right and after this a row of shops on the left including a Post Office. Lochburn Road is directly opposide these shops before you get to the railway bridge. We are number 37 which is about 200 yds up the street on the left-hand side - not far at all!
ALTERNATIVE JOURNEY OPTIONS:
1.You can get the subway to Hillhead station on Byres Road and there are usually taxis ranked right outside the subway, or you can cross the road to the bus stop and get the number 8 or the number 23 bus to the row of shops on Maryhill Road (directions above).
2.Glasgow Taxi - 0141 429 70 70
Fares - around £6 from City Centre. Around £3.60 from Byres Road.
